Hi, I’m Nancy—but I go by The Nancy. I’m a 17-year-old indie artist living in Oxford, turning the chaos around me into melodies and lyrics that speak to the soul.
Growing up, I found myself drawn to music more than anything else—no other interest ever lasted long. When I was five, I first realized that I was striving to be heard, and by the age of eight, I had already written my first song.

The Nancy
I released my debut single, 'Not All the Tales Have a Happy End,' back in 2022—a project I crafted in GarageBand on my phone. It was simple yet honest, and it marked the first step in sharing my voice with the world. Since then, I’ve been dedicated to experimenting with tunes and pushing my creative boundaries.
I try to blend emotion into sounds, often creating something unpredictable. Currently, I’m experimenting with electronic music which you might hear later. Whether it’s a rock motif or a mix of raw speech with pop melodies, my music carries a message hidden between the lines.
Through my songs, I want you to immerse yourself in your emotions and reflect on your personal experiences as you hear mine.
